See what others say about our domain name services - Privacy Statement is a domain name registration service which has created this privacy statement in order to demonstrate our firm commitment to privacy. is partnered with its sister site,, and with Enom Inc., hereinafter "Enom". The partnership referred to does not imply that Sherif and Enom are linked in any way other than for the purpose of serving our customers. Sherif and Enom are entirely separate entities. This privacy statement is provided for information purposes and is not intended to replace or in any way alter Enom's privacy statement.

We recognize the importance of protecting the privacy of personal information about our customers. Personal information includes all of the personally identifying information that is provided to us and to Enom. We are sensitive to these privacy interests and believe that protecting valuable personal/financial information is one of our most significant responsibilities.

The following discloses our information gathering and dissemination practices for this website,

Use, collection and retention of client information

Enom receives and stores any information you enter on our web site or give us in any other way. We use the information that you provide for such purposes as responding to your requests, providing our services (e.g., domain name registration, DNS hosting), and communicating with you.

We receive and store certain types of information whenever you interact with us. For example, like many other web sites, we use "cookies," and we obtain certain types of information when your web browser accesses our sites.

Examples of the information we collect and analyze include the Internet protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer to the Internet; computer and connection information such as browser type and version, operating system, and platform; the full Uniform Resource Locators (URL) click stream to, through, and from our web site, including date and time. We use IP addresses to analyze trends, administer the site, track user's movement, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use.

Maintenance of accurate information

Enom has established procedures so that a client's financial information is accurate, current and complete in accordance with reasonable commercial standards. Any request to correct inaccurate information is responded to in a timely manner.

Limiting employee access to information

All and Enom employees are educated about the importance of privacy and confidentiality. Only employees having a business reason for knowing such information have access to personally identifiable information.

Protection of information via established security procedures

We maintain rigorous security standards and procedures regarding unauthorized access to customer information.

Restrictions on the disclosure of account information

We do share information but only as described below. Otherwise we will not provide your personal information without your consent.

WHOIS: Enom is required by the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers ("ICANN"), the organization that assumes responsibility for domain name allocation, to collect information about you during the domain name registration process. This information includes your full name, mailing address, phone number, email address, and, where provided, your facsimile number. ICANN then requires all registrars to make your full name, mailing address, phone number, email address, and, where provided, your facsimile number, as well as the creation and expiration dates of your domain name registration and the name server information associated with your domain name, to the public via an interactive Web page and a "port 43" WHOIS service. For the purposes of this Privacy Notice we will refer to this information as your "WHOIS Information." Please note that we may not be able to control how members of the public may use the WHOIS Information.

Advertisers: Enom shares aggregated demographic information with its partners and advertisers. This is not linked to any personal information that can identify any individual person.

Partners: Enom partners with other parties to provide specific services. When the user signs up for these services, names or other contact information are shared that is necessary for the third party to provide these services.

Agents: Enom engages other companies and individuals to perform functions on their behalf. Examples include processing credit card payments, providing marketing assistance, providing customer services, sending postal mail and email to you, removing repetitive information from customer lists, and analyzing data. These persons have access to personal information needed to perform their functions. These companies do not retain, share, store or use personally identifiable information that you provide to Enom for any secondary purposes.

Service Providers: Our partners engage other companies and individuals to perform enhanced services on our behalf. For example, Critical Path, Inc. was engaged to provide free electronic mail services to domain name registrants. In addition, certain enhanced services such as our Web Site Builder require that we contact Internet directories and various search engines on your behalf. Many of our service providers have access to personal information needed to perform their services. These parties are not allowed to use personally identifiable information except for the purpose of providing these services.

Business Transfer: As we continue to develop, we might sell or buy businesses or their assets. In such transactions, customer information generally is one of the transferred business assets. Also, if Enom or all or substantially all of its assets were ever to be acquired, customer information will of course be one of the transferred assets.

Compliance: Account and other personal information is released when we believe it is appropriate to comply with law; enforce or apply our Services Agreement and other agreements; or protect the rights, property, or safety of our users, Enom or others. This includes exchanging information with other companies and organizations for fraud protection and credit risk reduction.

Maintaining customer privacy in business relationships with third parties

If it is necessary to provide personally identifiable customer information to a third party, we insist that the third party adhere to similar privacy principles that provide for keeping such information confidential.
